We all want to succeed and nobody loves defeat. We plan, work,
stretch day in and day out to gain delight of victory and avoid pain of failure. However,a handful of us, actually experience the sweet taste of extraordinary success and a majority of us lies either in ordinary or in stressed position.
Is this due to lack of effort, is this due to lack of
competence, is this due to lack of commitment?
No, certainly not
Look around, do you
actually find any super competence, magical effort or commitment in super achiever
than any mediocre achiever.
You perhaps didn’t.
Trust, the competence can always be acquired, efforts are
just reflection of enthusiasm, your starting action is testimony of your commitment
and none is actually a game changer.

You, either “Play to Win” or to “Avoid Failure” and don’t get
confused that they are one and same.
” Play to Win” starts with urge to succeed, ambition to
reach, courage to undertake risk, indefatigable efforts despite challenges, perseverance
and lateral thinking to find path, focus is only to win despite challenges.“Avoiding
Failure” focuses too much on security, defensive strategies, too safe approach avoiding required risk, vulnerability to loose composure with challenges or with momentary
disappointment, a way
too high stress, anxieties, fear, worry and disappointments.
We all play both ways and our approach vary from situation
to situation. Ask yourself , in which domain
you are “Playing to Win”, perhaps it
may be in career,at your
hobbies,in relationships, with friends and when was last you played to win & you will surely notice
the success and happiness quotient in those
game was higher, much higher and it does not make difference whether you
used that approach in career, hobbies, finance,or in relationship.And now,for a moment,evaluate
outcome when you only played to avoid failure, perhaps ordinary but respectable
result and limited happiness quotient or stressed position.
Look around, look around at the sport team who is champion
today, Look around at successful business, leaders, brands, celebrities,Success, big success
and happiness resulted from “Playing to win”.
The law is rather simple;
we only get what we are playing for.

you have the courage to lose sight of the shore” - Christopher Columbus
